Frequently Asked Questions Back to the top
What is the dress code?
Georgia Brown’s is an experience that is both hospitable and comfortably southern, where guests mingle with friends and family, meet and greet with neighbors and acquaintances, and no one is a stranger. The atmosphere is both friendly and lively, with guests engaging in conversation, celebrating special occasions, and savoring the rich flavors of the South. While business casual is most commonly the attire of preference amongst guests, we welcome you in what you find most fitting and comfortable for the occasion in which you are joining us.
Joining us for Sunday Brunch?
The Jazz is lively and the buffet a plenty. Whether in town visiting, brunching with friends, or sharing a meal with family, our Sunday Jazz Brunch, featuring Niki Gonzalez Jazz Trio live, is a tradition and an experience not to be missed. Join us dressed in what you are most comfortable in for the day, or in your Sunday attire (Ladies, Hats are welcome!).
What is parking like & is Valet available?
Street Parking and Garage Parking are available when Valet is not offered, or for those opting not to use the Valet. Most street parking in the area is Metered Parking. Kindly note that it is suggested all street signs are carefully read prior to parking in Metered or other street parking, as restrictions may be enforced during certain times of day/night.

Is your Chef able to accommodate Dietary Restrictions?
We strive to ensure that all guests are able to dine with us, regardless of their dietary restrictions. We request that you let us know upon making your reservation of any allergies and/or other restrictions you may have so that we may inform the Chef and do our very best to accommodate them. Should you or your guests have any severe allergies or restrictions, we would highly recommend your taking extreme caution in dining in our establishment, as we do prepare seafood, products with nuts, and other foods that are common allergens, and therefore cannot guarantee traces may not be present. Please let your server know of all allergies and dietary restrictions when dining with us.
Are children welcome at Georgia Brown’s?
Why of course! However it should be noted that we do not have a kids menu and all children will be accommodated from the regular menu. We encourage you to dine early, as Georgia Brown’s is a very vibrant and exciting restaurant that some children just honestly may not have fun at. But do bring them in tow, especially if you’re on vacation or visiting DC for a special occasion. We will do our very best to accommodate requests for children and work to ensure their experience with us is memorable.
When do you offer Jazz?
Live Jazz is only offered during Sunday Brunch. Our Sunday Jazz Brunch, featuring Niki Gonzalez Jazz Trio live, is a tradition and an experience not to be missed. On occasions, we have been known to bring live Jazz in at other times, but at present, Sunday’s just can’t be beat!
Do you accommodate Large Parties, Private Parties or Buyouts?
Absolutely! What’s food for the soul without a party? While we do not have a private room, we are able to accommodate large parties (10-35) in our main dining room. You and your guests will be seated comfortably in a section of our restaurant and treated to a true southern fare! We do welcome buyouts for parties of 50-130 should you wish to make your event private and use the whole restaurant. Let us know more about what you have in mind and we’ll contact you with more information.
